As stated previously, I am indeed taken by the interface provided by Flipboard within the IPad environment.
But I have found just one little downside to the App.
I assume that like most people, that we all use multiple twitter accounts to define and segregate various feeds and interests. It seems reasonable that a person would do this just simply to provide some sort of configuration control to all of their interests.
Anyway, this is Flipboards weakness, from what I can work out there seems to only the option to only attach a single twitter account.
Now for me it’s not too much of a problem but if I had significant secondary accounts that were not just for laughs. I would find this rather frustrating.
Hopefully we will see a little update soon seeing that the application has the ability to suck in so much data from all types of feeds, I just don’t understand why it has a limitation like this.
Due to this I am going to have to downgrade my original review score 9 out of 10.

Over the past several months I have been investigating and trying out multiple social networking Apps offered up by the Apple App store.
In my search I have looked into multiple Facebook and Twitter apps as well various cloud storage services. After settling on the vanilla version of Twitter and using “Friendly” for Facebook on the iPad I thought that I had it sorted.
Then along came Flipboard. Wow this interface is very very good. Elegant and sophisticated and offering all the functionality that you have with the other 2 apps, with one big difference. This app delivers a magazine style interface that actually makes you stop thinking that you are scrolling on a tablet screen. Aesthetically this app has it all going for it, and yes I have attempted to break it without success. The ability to force your specific feeds as well as Twitter and Facebook is just brilliant. This app enables me to gather all of the information that I want to see and hear about, instead of being constantly hammered by the mass media in all it’s glory.
I believe that we will see an Android version soon, if not by now and all I can say is best of luck. This interface should be shared by all as we really do look to bring about the wanted Human Machine Interface (HMI) from technology which is really showing off it’s benefits.

My next adventure would be attempting to find a Linkedin app for the IPad. Yes there is a little screen version for phones, and yes I know I can just go to the website. But I feel the future is in the app and it’s specific ease of use.

Well, this year we saw something a little different with an informal gathering, some beverages and yes of course some golf.
A star studded field was in attendance with the official event coordinator wearing more colours than any man has a right to.
The day was glorious with a solid but fair breeze blowing, left to right and then right to left. 2 teams of solid individuals started the journey. All knowing that there would be but one winner. Little did we know that the event social and promotional management team was to ensure that all participants would be walking away with a momento of the day.
Well after it was all done and dusted, a clear winner prevailed in the form of G.Brown. A man who undeniably could drive the ball well in tough conditions but unfortunatley has trouble driving a golf cart.
Special mentions go out to the Event Coordinator who, for some reason decided to cook us all food for 3 hours whilst ensuring all guests were enjoying themseves.

Not a lot of hesitation here as the units have been out for quite a while. I was more interested in the potential video and audio delivery capability that I could achieve through my apple tv, air play and air video.
I will make this portion of the blog ongoing as I investigate and learn the nuances of this device.
It’s limitations and it’s strengths will interest me as to will the development tha I see versus that of what I would like to happen.
